Does anyone have trouble closing their pleated blinds on the side windows. Mine tend to bunch up as I get to the bottom of sliding them down into their stowed position. Just wondered if there might be a simple fix for them ? Any advice welcome 👍

Mine do the same, I don`t think there is a cure.
I read about spraying them with starch and tried that but it didn`t help much
I just gather up the folds manually as they go down

Dust and grit can make things worse. You could try some form of lubricant on the sliders, perhaps talc. I have had this problem in the past but have no memory as to what I did about it.

Have you tried running your finger and thumb along each pleat pressing firmly? Do it from both sides (outside by opening the window) checking they are evenly folded at each pleat while you do.

Thanks for your ideas. I shall give them a try in the morning. Much appreciated 👍

Hi

Do you leave your blinds closed for long periods? If so it will relax the creases, causing them to be reluctant to fold away.

I have the opposite issue on my front screen blinds. Because they spend nearly all of their time folded away.Whenever they are deployed, all they want to do is spring back into the cassette. After a couple of nights away they start to behave normally.

Yes. They are always closed when the mh is not in use to protect the inside from the sun. I'll leave them open for a few days and see if this helps.
Thanks 👍
