Anybody taken their motor home to to Posada de Valdeon to start the Cares Gorge walk to Cain? Any thoughts on route and issue would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, roads are fine, when you get to the Camper stop if you use EHU only run the fridge. Every Brit van that came in tripped out the whole site, they weren't very popular.

Details of our trip in the link in my signature "Spain & Portugal Autumn 2018" We walked to Cain and back.
Last year we did it from the other end detail in the link "Portugal September 2019"
Both great and easy walks.

We went there last year, no problems with the roads. The walk is well worth it. The first photo is nearing the end of the walk the other is of the Aire behind the Sports Center

We're on the coast by the picos and will be heading up there in a few days probably . Aire looks nice.

Watch out for those low wooden pitch markers. Saw a van “try to move one“
couple of years ago. !!

Lovely walks from the site as well.

Power always tripped off in the early morning.

Roads are fine, mountainous and twisty of course, but a lovely slow drive.
