If you prefer doing yourself, until recently I was using Photoshop Elements 11, now using Affinity Photo, available for both MacOS and IOS .. on offer just now at £38.99 and has family sharing. This is a powerful alternative to PS.



I find it very relaxing and rewarding .. but still learning.

I've used the heritage versions of Serif Software - Photoplus in particular. It's free and no need to register - but no longer supported by Serif.

That's clever. Removing the "measels" is fairly straightforward but it has also been "colourised" - which is the interesting bit. The technique was notably used on the WW1 footage recently shown on the box.

That is very impressive.
Having done a fair bit of editing on old photos for a local history book that picture has taken a lot of work.
As @DBK says the colour is very clever.
