Philips & CCC road atlas publication dates

Hi

Does anyone know when the next edition of the Philips CCC map is due? Do they get updated every year?

Latest I can find is 2021 edition 4. I can't find any info on the next version but will buy edition 4 if that's all there is for the next 2 or 3 months.

I think maps are ‘dying out’. I was looking for a large page size 3 miles to inch atlas the other day. They used to be sold in every petrol station for £1.99. Not any more. I was told condescendingly in a number of places that nobody uses them any more, use your satnav! What has happened to the joy of planning a journey from a map? I found one in The Works in the end, only 2021 though. Couldn’t even find one on Amazon at sensible price. Rant over!

I bought a Phillips euro large scale
map 2021 for the trip we are on now, it’s really poor with roads and places missing, and very bad details. Google maps and sat nav are much better than this. I do like a good map, but this isn’t it.

Just bought Philip’s Navigator France 3”-1 mile 2021and annotated it with post it notes for our upcoming summer hols to Beziers. I love doing this! I’ll switch on the satnav for places like Rouen and Orleans but don’t see the point when trundling down a long dual carriageway or motorway. Map detail is very good showing all the little D roads as well as the motorways as you’d expect. Easily detailed enough for me and SHMBO who is likely to be doing most of the navigating.
