Van conversion
Hey, live up in the North East of England and having issues with a radio..

I've got a 2013 peugeot Boxer fitted with the standard non-satnav head unit... it only gets BBC radio 2 😂 I've tried using a completely new aerial plugged straight in to the back of the radio and its exactly the same, any ideas?

I did change the single din radio in my 2012 Boxer for a double din one and connected the aerial to the spare tv socket on the Status tv aerial. This works okay in most places.

Hmmm ... well ..... I would stick with BBC Radio 2.

That's what we do with our nasty Pioneer radio. Saves a lot of hassle.

It's actually a vehicle I rent out, so needs to be working properly unfortunately

Hopefully not a stupid question but have you tried setting it to known frequencies for local radio stations / radio 1? Also tuning, is it searching for new stations or is just cycling through pre-tuned channels?

Does another radio, if you have a spare, work in the van?

No help I know, just questions but might be something you haven't tried.

Yeah tried AM / FM1 / FM2 on known channels and let it cycle through and it only tunes to radio 2 😒

I'm going to try an aftermarket radio as soon as I get a chance

My Boxer will only tune to BBC radio 4. I listen to the news on the hour, World At One, or (guilty pleasure) Gardeners Question Time or that cooking show. Other than that it's switched off!

Not ideal and something I've been meaning to have a go at sorting. But I have had other priorities with converting a whole camper!

Following this thread with interest.

Another thought came to me last night (I’d turned the internet off by then!), our Alpine radio (replaced the stock Fiat radio with a DAB one) didn’t pick up many channels when I searched for new stations once. The reason was there is an option in the radio to search for local or national stations. I had it set to national if I remember rightly and it wasn’t picking up a lot of BBC stations or Heart etc. Changed it to local stations and it picked up all I expected.
