Hi I wOndered If anyone can help me with a problem with my Truman us 103 heating system.
On switch on after 5 or seconds there is a red light that stays on preventing the heater from working.
I would appreciate any help or advice that I can get from someone with more knowledge than myself?

I thought that was a water heater?

Are you trying to run it on gas or 240v, I’m guessing gas?

Is the gas on and have you removed the vent cover outside?

Yes it is a water heater and the gas is on with the cover removed.
I can hear the ignition noise but seconds later the red light comes on and nothing else happens.

Make sure there is no inline gas valves shut, there’s sometimes a manifold inside the van.

There could also be air in the pipe work, how many times have you tried it? It may take a while to purge the air out.

It does sound like there’s no gas there though, but it could possibly be a weak spark….but as you can hear it I’d doubt it.

If there’s no valves closed anywhere…..I’d suspect a blocked pilot injector.

Thank you for your suggestions I have tried it 5 or 5 or six times.
I will search the van for any valves that could a be shut off.
