Our very first outing at a brand new campsite in west Wales called Penrhyn Farm (www.penrhynfarmcamping.co.uk), half a mile from New Quay. Spectacular views, incredible coastline for walking, great facilities, hardstandings, water, ehu - and lovely owners. We did an eight mile walk from the site straight on to the coast path to Cwm Tydu, where we had a cup of tea - and then inland along footpaths and quiet lanes back to the campsite. In the photo, we parked up here before we moved on to a level hardstanding!

fantastic views in the summer, but I bet it's awesome in a winter storm

Penrhyn Farm

It's an absolutely beautiful spot, especially with blue skies. Glad to hear they're making a go of the campsite - I spend many childhood days there when the previous owners ran it as a dairy farm. You can see my mum's house if you look south west down the coast.

Looks lovely but a bit pricey at £25 pn

Get yourself up to Aberaeron .. recommend here for a special treat ..https://www.harbour-master.com/
Or down to Aberporth... and the Ship Inn... check reviews for food...imho..
and then Cardigan.. plenty of great walks in that area... Dinas Head , Poppit Sands and Newport beach.. (y)

We probably walked past it! We're in Pembrokeshire so we used to amazing coastline - be we were really impressed with the coastline up in Cerdigion. Penrhyn Farm is a 'certificated site' - same as Caravan Club CL's - but to an eco-organisation called the Greener Camping Club (www.greenercamping.org). They are only small but they have some incredible sites - many of which take camper vans/motorhomes.
