camping and caravanning since a kid. New to motorhomes
as the saying goes and it is certainly true. Apologies about this rant but am pretty frustrated.

So still trying to buy my first motorhome. I had thought I had one sorted. But a couple of days before collection someone tried to nick it from the dealer (posted on here about it). Dealer said will be 2 to 3 weeks to get locks replaced. Didn't bother to keep me informed so I had to rearrange plans.

Anyway arranged to collect it, then received an email from said dealer at 19:15 night before collection. Bearing in mind he knew I was leaving early the next day to be there for collection at mid-day. 360 mile trip (one way) meaning leaving at 06:00 hrs. Email just checking that I have made payment arrangements as they dont accept card payment...... yep never mentioned or discussed this prior to this very untimley email. Final straw of being messed around by dealer so requested deposit be returned.

Then noticed a van put up on the classified ads here. Thought great should be a good van from a funster. Despite a couple of attempts to discuss with seller. Have been ignored. No response to messages and no phone call (give my mobile number). Can see fact that seller has been on the forum in the meantime.

So starting to think maybe its just not for me. :cry::cry:
 
Did you pm the funster selling?
Or put an.@ in front of name

BikerGraham to bring to hi/her attention?

Frustrating I'm sure.

When you go on the ad there is the option to send a message. I did that twice.
Also left a comment on the advert that I had sent a message

Just because you have pm'd them doesn't mean they have seen it. I rarely used to notice the message box ,sometimes for days.
Have you posted on the advert as well.?

Just because a person is selling something through this site doesn’t automatically guarantee it’s good, I bought an ebike off here what a pile of sh1te. One hit wonders will come on just to sell something.

Why not just put on here what you re looking at and others can check it out or maybe even know about it.

Hi Chaser,

May seem strange but its just not the way I work in relation to buying things. I prefer to go looking rather than the other way round. I suppose its a reaction from pushy salepeople in the past and all the cold calls that we get subjected to.

I'll find something. (y)(y)(y) (Got a ferry booked on 2nd September, returning on 29th.)

I didn't mean in general, just this guy that's got one for sale.
