Not to stay overnight but a daytime visit to shops. 7.6m length and 3.2m high.

Been googling but many have height restrictions and don't mention large spaces.

I don't mind suggestions like Hythe and ferry, a park and ride, somewhere near railway station and train in to the city.

Does anyone have any suggestions please.

Thanks for the tip! £2 for 4 hrs. Mrs was very chuffed with the shops! (I wasn’t though). But what a great car park.

Remember standing in that very spot back in the early 70's and the Union Castle boats were moored on 101 berth after being taken out of service 3 abreast cannot remember there names often stop of there on my way out of town and buy a Mr Whippy and have a few minutes of reflection in and out these days in 10 hours or so.

Oakbank Car Park Woolston, side of the Itchen bridge easy drive from junction 9 M27, at the bottom end there is a Lorry park area, you can either take a short bus ride into the city center or a 20 min walk.

@PORKSTER
Yes, it’s the Mayflower park. 8.2m no problem. Lorries were using it. We arrived around mid day and it was almost empty. 4 ish got busier but still plenty of space away from the water edge

Good spot but make sure everything secure because before the boat show ( ended end of September) the homeless were tented there and once parked there myself in mh saw some anti social behaviour . Excuse the state of the old pier !
