Painting underslung gas tank

The coating at the front end of our underslung gas tank is starting to degrade and I'm wondering what the best paint would be to keep it rust free?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Could you treat it with a chassis rust proofer, such as Dinitrol. They are self healing and stop rust. That way future stone chips won’t be a problem.
 
I used Comma Underbody Seal on mine, rubberised anti stone chip.
