Hi all,

I need to find the paint codes for my Pilote.

Dose anybody know if they are marked anywhere on the vehicle?

Cheers in advance

Mine has a sticker on the slam panel under the bonnet. Unfortunately, it says 611 grigio aluminio or something like that but all paint shops say that it should be 611/A and 611 is something else - so stonechips are still just that

Is it a Coach built or A Class Pilote?

This is mine btw

I posted this last year in response to a similar query. It relates to Pilote GRP colour matching.

Pilote have a 'target' colour for their GRP moulding suppliers so there is no RAL paint code, but base this on matching the FIAT colour palette for the base chassis. This applies to both the coachbuilt P series and G integrated series GRP/Thermoplastic panels.

Paint colour equivalent is FIAT BIANCO 210/R. Ensure it is the 'R' colour option.

This can be mixed at your local car paint supplier into a touch up pot or spraycan.

Hope this helps.

It’s complicated I’m afraid, you might find a sticker in the door shuts of the base vehicle, however the converter may have painted the vehicle an entirely different colour. We use a spectrometer to identify the colours. If you have a branch of LKQ nearby they can identify any colour with the same technology.

Thanks for all the input folks, very much appreciated.

Its an Explorateur 782, I have attached a wee piccy in case anybody recognises the colours.

I'm not after pots of the stuff but I do need touch up pens/cans for both the superstructure white and the tan skirts. I will check the VIN plates and have a good look for other plates.

What is a "slam panel" that's a new one on me!

Mr Kraken - Do you mean the colours in the picture? Did you have success with your recommendation? And if so, did the colours supplied blend well? If the white was supplied to you what about the coour on the GRP mouldings/skirts?

Cheers in advance folks.

Bonkers the Dog mine was a 2016 G740c, same shape front end as yours.

The Fiat Bianco 210/R paint was an almost perfect match for both the white fibre glass mouldings and the side skirts. I finished the paint by flatting off with wet and dry then applying 3 coats of spray can clear lacquer.

Afraid I can't help with the brown colour you have on yours.

Cheers.

So, the saga continues.

I tried emailing Dicksons of Perth service dept but heard heehaw back. As an aside I also emailed several windscreen specialists for a major mark on my windscreen and none have bothered to get in touch; it must be nice to have a business so buoyant that you can ignore customer enquiries!

Anyway, rant over, the hunt for paint continues.

I attach a few images of various plates on main engine front spar various weight plates and VINS but I am not sure if any of the numbers are 'paint codes'. Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers in advance,

BTD

Last image gives a supplier reference.

These are the people who appear to supply the 'brown' finish lower panels for your Pilote.

Maybe worth contacting them to see if they are willing to give you a paint code. Only thing at the moment is they may be annual shutdown.

forget the slam panel plate, the code will only relate to the base vehicle. Then over the years of uv on the van the colour changes. You need to get it colour matched using a specialist and some rattle cans mixed to match "your van"
