I stupidly raised the dish with a skylight fully open, the LNB jammed against the raised skylight, I managed to lower the skylight then retract the dish. once the dish was retracted I again raised it it and seemed well on both LNB channels and did so for a few raising / retraction operations

After moving to a different place, the dish was again raised , but would not lock on despite having a perfect line of sight, I checked the led it showed E9 error which I believe is open/closed short circuit error, I have checked the internal connections and will today hopefully be able to check the LNB connections. I did notice the LNB auto skew was at 90 degrees which seems out of normal?

Are the LNB connectors the same as standard f plugs ?

any other tips before I start please

after getting up close , I can one of the cables is damaged and will need a repair.

I need to visit
  • Oyster Sat-Tech Ltd Unit 5, Hemploe Business Park Hemploe Road, Welford - Northants, NN6 6HF

  • On a Monday morning at 09:00 so I probably need a camp site near by for the night before, could anybody who knows this area recommend any place to stop over.

I did look at Caravan Park At Stanford Hall, the road looks a tad tight 8.5my tagg , but I need to go anyway?

any recommendations please

Hi Scout

We have a couple of sites near us. There is Stanford hall which is about 2 miles from us and there is Brook Meadow which is about 3/4 miles from us. Alternatively you are more than welcome to stay on the car park at our premises however we do not have any amenities here that you would find on a site. We can provide hookup for the morning of the booking but that's all we can offer.

I looked a both of those, Brook Meadow shows to be about 5 miles away? or have got their site or your address wrong

I have you as Oyster Sat Tech, Unit 5 Hemploe Road, Northampton NN6 6HF, is this correct?

As our appointment is a Monday would stopping on a Sunday night be a problem?

I agree, always there for any issues and provides 1st class customer service, as does all of the staff there, would always choose Oyster over any other company/make of satellite systems 👍
