Overnight Stays in Northumberland Carparks Could get the Go-Ahead

Fantastic idea, one of our very favourite places. Let’s hope it happens. The council could do worse than speak to Craven District Council as they have been doing this for a few years now and as far as I’m aware have had no problems.

Sounds like a good idea and I hope it happens & other councils do the same

Mind you someone will be along soon to suggest that it might be too expensive for motorhomers!
If recent threads are anything to go by, £5 a night is way too much, £11 for 24 hours parking (46p an hour) is extortionate, despite it being two pounds less than the price of a packet of cigarettes!!!!

But don't worry, us motorhomers are all big spenders in the local community 🙂🙂

Looks promising, even in our 'little' Inca we can go three days with any services

This is brilliant news if it happens - one of our favourite places to visit. Have parked at Alnmouth many times but never overnight as not allowed.

Fingers crossed.

Paid £6 or £8 to park overnight in Bourton On The Water, no facilities for that - other than access to public toilets in the car park - nor any expected. Was perfectly happy to have someplace to overnight without moving on in search of a spot, having spent a nice day. Can't understand why more councils don't do something similar, many are missing a trick.

Great news let's hope a minority don't take the pi22 and ruin this opportunity.

Great idea. I wonder if water and black dump off will be supplied ? I doubt it but it’s a start.

The article was on the local telly yesterday and the only thing mentioned at the time was that the local council(s) would be adding extra waste bins to certain locations.
