Heard that there was an earthquake in Murcia, nothing near where we are in La Azohia, but been very windy for the last day or two, but not really cold. Hope no-one caught up in this. Only a few UK motorhomes about, but not seen a single funster sticker! We're hoping to move towards Mazarron port area in the next couple of days (after a visit to the bodega for supplies), does anyone have any recommendations on where to stay, can see a few on campercontact & park4night, doesn't have to have facilities. Thanks :)

@Oscar
We are on a non- ACSI site between Puerta and Isla Plana and spend a bit of time walking / cycling around the area of Puerta Mazarron.
There are always a few MH arrive on the parking areas near the Oceanographic Institute 37.5764267, -1.2301596
round about mid afternoon, overnight and then move on.
We were talking to a Brit there yesterday who has been in the area a while and he moves between where you are, the above and the erosions car park at Bolnuevo.

We were at Lidl in Puerta yesterday an had a look at the two "wilding" streets behind there. Didn't see any Brits to talk to but was put off by the scrap/reclamation type business about 100 metres away that seemed to be manned by about 20 young men of N. African origin.

As you leave Isla Plana down the steep hill towards Puerta, there is a section of concrete road and an area of rough land on the landward side. There were three MH overnighting there last week.

The site we are on it quite expensive at €22.50 a night but quickly goes down to the €16 a night rate we are on.

The Brit we were talking to also said that he overnighted occasionally near the harbour at Isla Plana but I am not sure where he meant.
If you do overnight at the coordinates above, give us a shout and you can come up for a natter.

I am currently at Bolneuvo which is just along from Peuto Mazzaron. There is a large area where motorhomes are allowed to park for two nights and it is right opposite the beach and has some interesting geological structures. You can’t miss it as there are about 40 motorhomes on it. Police do take registrations to make sure you only stay two days. I would like to have stayed longer.
P.s. someone tried to steal my bikes in Peurto Mazzaron so make sure you don’t leave things unlocked.

Thanks @sinbad - think we'll have a look at Bolneuvo. We stayed on the urbanisation behind Lidl last night, & although we felt safe enough with lots of mohos here, we've seen a couple of characters that look out of place so we wouldn't feel comfortable leaving the van unattended. Cheers

I’ve just added Bolneuvo to park4night but as it’s my first time doing this I don’t know what is involved in it going public. I’ve hopefully attached some photos from this morning. Where did these clouds come from.
