anyone recommend a one night stopover (pub preferred for food evening before) close to Thorpe Park, preferably within a 30min drive??

my wife and I are involved with triathlons and we need to be at TP at stupid o'clock in the morning (around 6am 3x in June, July and August) so would prefer to stay locally than leave home before I go to bed....

Thorpe Park

The closest place id the CC&C site a Chertsey less tha 2 miles away, Apart from that not to sure, I live 40 mins away PM me

I'm aware of the C&CC site at Chertsey but getting off site at daft o'clock in the morning may be an issue if they have a barrier (most sites like this do) EDIT: just checked and they don't allow vehicle movement on site before 7am, so that site is ruled out.

and the reviews for that site are also less than glowing!

thanks anyway

Maybe too far away but the Butt Inn at Aldermaston Wharf, RG7 4LA allows overnight stop if you eat in the pub. Food is very good but not cheap.

nice suggestion thanks but a bit too far away and in the wrong direction - I'm coming from Eastbourne so somewhere to fit into that

further to this you could try either the Woburn Arms Addlestone Moor Chertsey or Abby Rangers Footbal club which is next to it
hope this helps

Another possible is The Jubilee Pub, Staines Road East, Sunbury-on-Thames,TW16 5AV. Tel. 01932782053

according to beerintheevening, the pub is now a nursery.

It is listed as an overnight stop, but it may be worth a call just to check
