Oven temp sensor

Hi all new problem knocked wire out of temp sensor in the oven so now stays on high all the time.
It shoves back in but still staying on high do you think I can solder it in?
As I don't want to pull all the oven out to replace.

Looks like a capillary tube type, time for a replacement I think ?

You could try soldering it in (I think you would need to use silver solder) but as above, I think it is goosed as it probably contained a gas at pressure.

They contain a liquid - different liquid for different temperature ranges - or in this case it used to. They can't be repaired.
