We have a County Leisure Caprice 2040 oven in our Moho and the last time we used it we had problems lighting it. The piezo doesn't work which is not problems but when we light the burners with a lighter however long we hold the control knob in as soon as we let go it went out. We held the knob in for as long as 2 minutes and tried a high heat setting and a low one but no joy. Any thoughts or is this something I need to refer to a service engineer?

Thanks in advance

It looks like the thermocouple has failed, try to see if it is in the flame it looks like a rod and should be heated by the flame, if it is it will probably need replacing. If there is no flame under it try cleaning the burner

Thank you. I'm assuming the thermocouple is the nipple to the left of the burners. If so it does glow red but obviously not enough. I thought that was probably the case so I think a gas engineer may be best
