I have a Autosleeper Neuvo 2007 that has a Caprice 2040E grill/oven fitted. The hob burners work fine on gas, but the oven does not get hot. The burners light ok but if you turn the temperature up, the burner flame stays the same and the oven remains at a very low temperature.
Does anyone know what this problem is ??

ballme1 The flame will remain high until the required temp is reached... turning down the knob then reduces the flame height... My oven flame stays high for an age... Only able to reduce it if i've... had a slow roast in there for a few hrs...

With regards to not getting hot.... My first thoughts would be heat escaping?.. Door seals present?

Sounds like the thermostat controlling the flow of gas is at fault. First stick your head inside the oven (no, no, turn the gas off first :whatthe: ) and check the thermostat is clean and not touching anything - had that happen on our domestic oven after I'd cleaned it once. If it looks okay a replacement is probably not all that expensive - Leisureshopdirect are good at these kind of spares.

I agree. It’s probably a thermocouple that needs to be replaced. It’s not usually a difficult job and the parts are relatively inexpensive. The old one will be held by a screw-type assembly to the burner. Remove the old, measure it or send it to an agent such as Socal who will send you a new replacement. Fitting the new is a reverse of the above, making sure its end is correctly positioned in the flame. Good luck.

Are you sure its not just slow to heat? Motorhome ovens are not great.

Thanks for all the info. We left the oven on for over an hour trying to cook some chips and they did not cook and the oven was still luke warm after all this time.
I will try the thermocouple today to see if it is faulty.
