Outside the national parks

last year we drove through the park national des cevennes ( it’s beautiful), however having the dog with us was a little difficult as we couldn’t do any of the walks we found as dogs were prohibited on these walks.

I totally get the unrest of wildlife with dogs running around, so we are looking for similar areas outside of the national parcs.

Has anyone found anywhere similar that does not have the restrictions.
