Outdoor temperature Sensor

Hi we recently bought a 2009 Auto Sleeper Mercedes Chassis & on our 1st & 2nd outing i went into limp mode. We pulled over & re-started & all ok for the duration of that journey. It went back in & the dealer tells us that it was a faulty outdoor temperature sensor that restricted fuel. This just sounds wierd. has any one else come across this?

I think you had your seat set too far back

Makes a bit of sense. If the ECU is seeing a temp of -40°C it will try to choose a completely useless engine map set.
