Out of this world offers at haven

I stayed at a Haven site for a few days (midweek) last year, great facilities and helpful staff - couldn't fault it

Although everyone I spoke to warned me not to stay there in the school holidays or at weekends as they will be full of kids

....but only 2 dogs per pitch......:(

Did Haven Golden sands (Mablethorpe) just before lockdown, the grass to get onto the hardstanding (concrete block) was like a ploughed field nearly got stuck getting ON!! The shower block had windows missing (gale blowing in whilst using the facilities) and the remaining frames was rotten!!
Never again!!

Wish Haven Devon cliffs did this then we could stay at the same time as our daughter in their static. They do have a driveway for their car but it is short and very steep!

edit: obviously when they are not occupying the static we could stay in that, just in case you thought they were a bit mean :giggle:

At 6 quid I wouldn't be worrying about no shower block :giggle:

Devon Cliffs was probably the best Haven to visit. Such a shame that they stopped accepting tourers.
No idea why as it was always busy....

Can’t remember how much at the time but it was more than £6, I wouldn’t mind but they had the whole winter to get the touring site ready, we were there on the opening weekend!! Very Shoddy, I’m sure most of us have stayed on better aires for less😤

Minimum 4 nights. At Perran Sands price jumps from £24(6.4m m'home) to £42 (7m m'home) and only electric pitches available. £22 extra for 600mm. Still a saving - but not so great.

Your getting a few complaints about your bargain chaser . Can you up your game and find something that actually pays you to stop there?:giggle: Electric included of course!!
I can imagine the comments.
" I know they are paying me to stop here, but the lecky is only 6 amp"

We made use of a Haven special last year ( Marton Mere ) and apart from a noise problem on the last night ( all night !They decided it was a good idea to have carpet cleaners in to do the main hall... We was less than 40 mtrs from the rather big and noisy equipment they brought in ) we thought it was well worth the price and gave us the chance for a repeat visit to Blackpool

They have been extending the statics by the look of it. Costs a lot of £££,£££ to buy one and the annual rent is around £9,000. Couldn’t get that with a few tourers!

I went to one in Poole I think in October when my daughter was young.

It was cheap enough but unfortunately my daughter wanted to go to the evening entertainment ...

I was well out of place as I didn't have any tatoos, earrings or chunky gold bracelets and neckchains.

So, never stayed on a Haven site before.
Do you have a allocated pitch, so you can come and go. Or are you restricted to move the vehicle for the duration of your stay.

We've always had an allocated pitch, changeable within reason & never been restricted.
