Opinions on this inflatable canoe?

I know this is also over budget but as Gumotex have been mentioned I thought I'd plug Advanced Elements hybrids - they have alu reinforcement that makes them behave, imo, like rigid kayaks - they also do sit on tops.

I've used both Gumotex Framura and and AE Airfusion - both great for rivers up to class III, lakes and inshore, estuaries, island hopping etc. For me, the AE is somewhat superior on each but in the sea it is streets ahead.

I've been looking at this have just stayed at Bridlington next to a launching ramp


I like that inflatable dingy though (y)
 
Now decided on a Mariner engine as the Suzuki is best buy award but rough running and noisy

We have a gumotex helios2 which we use here in the uk. In aussie we have a gumotex sunny. You may pay a blt more but they have proved excellent. Both were bought on ebay secondhand. Have used them onlakes,rivers,canals. We are both in our 70s and have really enjoyed our kayaks. Dont forget to get a skeg/rudder with the kayak. A whole new world,enjoy
 
Outboard is much lighter than an electric bike and I'm sure I can rig it up on the bike rack :)

Yup ... you saying that Techno might get a dunking if he gets a kayak ... :D
 
Inflatable canoes will hurt your back, thay are not at all comfortable you would be better off with a real canoe & if weight is the issue a ROYALEX one will be lighter.
Try finding a local canoe club & trying them out 1st inflatable & real canoes.

Plus you can carry more kit like more beer ;)

Me personally 3 kayaks on the roof as the misus wont paddle but as a coach I really should have my own Canoe, might buy one next year.

That's why we have the Gumotex Palava Canadien, more comfortable than a Kayak. I would fancy getting a rigid on our roof.
