Very long shot but does anyone know of any that are open now? Most open from April. I know we can use aires but we’d like to use at least one campsite to chill out for a while, regroup and shower.

not a site but has showers, laundry washing machines, black and grey dump, etc and is very very clean tidy
the actual main campsite is next door but this is a small annexe off it, I stayed last week. 12 euros

I am familiar with this Aire and the site. I believe the shower is for disabled use only or are they now happy for any guest to use it? Agree it is a lovely site
I didnt notice any disabled use signs on it last week, though there is just the one. (12 or 15 van spaces)

We stayed here for three days last autumn on our way down. Absolutely delightful Normandy location.
I contacted them on your behalf and here is their reply.

Good afternoon to you both,
We are already open and will stay open until December. The bar and restaurant will open again in May.
Will be good to see you again.
Our best regards
Steve and Dawn

some time ago in March we were in the same position. We found this municipal campsite on the canal open welcoming and just what we needed!

Open all year and a stroll into the beautiful town. There's also a good aire in the town, very popular

Just a quick point about disabled facilities.
Because a facility is marked with a disabled sign does not mean it is just for disabled persons, it means it is accessible for the disabled, anyone can use it, this only changes if the sign actually says for disabled use only, such as parking bays. This will of course not stop most of us feeling uncomfortable using the facility sometimes, or being glared at by some people, but it is the way it is and the way it was intended.
