Mixing diesel with petrol. Not a good idea, and especially not when you've just filled up in Chamonix and are about to go into the Mont Blanc tunnel. On the bright side it was only €0.55 worth before I noticed. What an idiot and I felt it too. Anyway I reckoned the mix would have been180 parts diesel to 1 part petrol but i drove it up and down the nearest bit of road for 20 klm anyway before comitting to going underground for 11 klms. All's well I'm glad to say.

Probably do it more good than harm as this has been reported on here before. No worries:Smile::Smile::Smile:

Not the first and certainly not the last !!

Since are close, visit the little campsite in Cannero Riviera, you'll not regret it.

I can vouch for £3 of petrol to £70 of diesel not causing a problem [apart from painfully crossed fingers].

And £45 of unleaded in a virtually empty tank ... drove 15 miles, pumped petrol out, put diesel in ... and she's gone beautifully ever since. Improved performance, better economy, quieter ... and that was about 3 years ago. But that was in a 'proper' engine...:whistle:
