I'm a newbie
I have 6 of these Oberholz locks fitted to the 3 garage doors of my Chausson 610 motorhome, which was bought new last year. Within the last 3 months 3 of the 6 locks have broken, including 1 which has never been used.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems with these locks?

We have those theyve been fine. It took me 3 years to fing how to make the outside stay down you push the top dowm and just rock it gently side to side I was bashing them down!!!

Yes had one break last week , on a year old 717 colud be a faulty batch

Sorry to revive an old thread but our Chausson Flash 03 has four of these fitted. One has failed within a fortnight of us owning the van (albeit second hand). Interestingly the one that failed is a lighter colour than the remaining which suggests to me that it was a replacement already (the remaining three are similarly yellowed to the other white parts of the van).

I’ve found a few places online (now I know what they are called) that sell them but wonder if you got any further in identifying if this was a dodgy batch or have they continued to fail for you?

I haven't had anymore problems , but find that you just have to be more careful with them as they are fragile , if the door has two on it use both of them together to open the door it helps to take the strain off rather just using the one handle .
When you do change it you just replace the existing lock barrel in to the new handle
