Hi,

We've got a Flyt tag for our trip to Norway, and I've received the first invoice which has to be paid by Bank Transfer. It would be so much easier if we could just log on to our account and pay by credit card....

To set up the transfer on Natwest, it asks for Flyt's Bank Name & Bank Address - and the Invoice does not give that info.

I've sent an email via their Contact Us page to ask the, but so far I've not heard back.

Does anyone who also has a Flyt tag have the Bank Name & Address please for Flyt?

Many thanks!

Just a quick update in case anyone finds this post whilst trying to fathom out how to get and set up a Toll Tag for Norway!

I tried again to phone Flyt and got through in the end - I was more patient this time. They were able to email me their Bank name and address, which is what NatWest needs, along with the IBAN and other account info that's detailed on Flyt's invoice. So the payment has gone through.🤞

For info, with Flyt you get charged 5 NOK (£0.37) per month irrespective of whether you use the toll tag - and you will be invoiced for that every three months. If you use the tag then I believe you will be invoiced every month. The lady this morning told me that I could pay for the year in one go - 75 NOK just in case we don't get over there this year. That is only £5.50 for the year, so it's a good idea. You can only pay by bank transfer, no credit card payments are accepted. 😊

Help please.

I’ve just had an invoice from Flyt. It has an itemised list of ferry crossings, an invoice and a request for payment. Should this not just be deducted from the 2200kr deposit?

The mail also includes a list of road tolls, but with no total, and no invoice for this? When should I expect an invoice for this?

That appears strange. The Autopass agreement (toad tolls, bridges, etc.) is a standalone agreement as far as I'm aware. Likewise the Ferje agreement for the ferries and the prepayment for the 50% discount.

The system is further complicated that you have to use one of the third party providers such as Flyt or Frentind Services to access the agreements.

To keep on top of it all, I had both apps, (Flyt and Ferje), separately on my phone and I could see my toll and ferry history.

I've always had completely separate billing for the roads and bridges, and the ferries. I have email receipt notification for each toll crossed and each ferry taken. Flyt then invoice me monthly for the road tolls and bridges. I receive no actual invoices for the ferries due to the prepayment, but in the Ferje app I can see that the 2200 NOK balance was slowly going down. Once back in the UK I cancelled my Ferje agreement requesting a refund which was back in my bank account (converted into sterling at no exchange rate cost to me) within about 10 days

I can only think that they have not allocated your Ferje prepayment to your Ferje account / vehicle. Did the payment actually leave your bank account? Did you correctly quote your Autopass agreement/ tag number when setting up the Ferje account? Also, if you log onto your Ferje account online either on the website or their app, can you see the running balance? Should start at 2200 NOK and be reducing. If not I think that you need to ask them to properly associate your prepayment with your Ferje account and vehicle. They speak excellent English on the phone in my experience.

The whole thing is a bit of a faff, but having been through it a number of times now, I think I've got it sussed.

Following on from my earlier message - a picture tells a thousand words.

If G-RMPS when you log in to your Ferje account do you see something like this? My screenshot shows both the original prepayment and the running balance. If not; if it just shows 0NOK then your prepayment hasn't been registered and you are defaulting to the full ferry price, this presumably being invoiced and collected by Flyt on behalf of Ferje.

Thanks. Yes I have a statement like that.

I have an invoice for every ferry and the total is less than what has been deducted from my 2200kr.

The invoice from Flyt is not for ferries. It seems to be some road tolls. And a list of other ones, presumably to be invoiced later.

Confusing!

Sorry, but I misunderstood your message. I thought you said that Flyt were billing you for the ferries despite having prepaid. Obviously not, which is good. 👍

However, the 2200 NOK prepayment is only for ferries, not road tolls and bridges.

For road and bridge tolls - these are billed by Flyt monthly in arrears when the account is being actively used. You normally then have a couple of weeks to make payment.

By the way, once you depart and your account is inactive the Flyt billing is 3 monthly (for the cost of the actual tag) until you cancel the agreement. You need therefore to make sure you cancel when you leave or the tag cost will continue indefinitely. I believe that Flyt's T&C's say that you should post the tag back, but when I have cancelled, their confirmation email always states that I have no need to return it.

Thanks. My misunderstanding, not yours. Ferry stuff is OK, though I don’t understand why I’ve been charged more than the total of the individual ferries.

Regarding the tolls, I have a monthly itemised invoice including the standing charge, and an itemised list which is different but comes to the same price (less the standing charge) so I’ll just pay it. I originally thought this was a ferry invoice.

Thanks for your help.
