Currently in Tournon. Overlooking the river. Thinking of heading into the Ardeche but a bit concerned about driving our coach built Burstner around the hilly bits. We've not looked for sites yet (Aires or acsi). Anyone had any problems driving and also any recommended sites?

We've just left L'Ardechois campsite which was fab. Our MH is 7.24 metres long and we had a 15 minute drive which was a bit harem scarem but it was fine and there were MH bigger than ours on the site. The site recommends not using satnav so it's better to research the road in. Beautiful area.

We stayed on this site in April - fabulous site, super facilities (even got dishwashers in the shower block!), but expensive. Our rig is almost 8m with the bike on the back but we didn't have any problems getting there.

We like Camping le Provencal next door to l'ardechois. Stayed many many times. We also like Camping Indigo Le Moulin at the other end of the gorge. Stayed there a number of times.

If you drive down the Gorge there are some short tunnels near Vallon Pont d'Arc which are a bit intimidating on first sight but just take them slowly and after you are through them the rest of the route is easy. I would avoid weekends though.
