Non swivelling cassette toilet!!

Away in the MH for the first time in months, Thetford C260 cassette toilet working fine EXCEPT it no longer swivels, doesn’t seem to be sticking anywhere I can see, but needs both hands and even then it’s a struggle! Anyone know a way of freeing this up as service appts at the local dealer are booked till Septembe!

Silicone spray frees things up.
Remove the cassette and have a 'volunteer' to look inside the cassette housing as someone inside the van carefully wiggles the swivel bowl.
Check nothing is jammed/ fouling inside the cassette housing.
eg, the lid of the cassette blade cover, toilet paper etc

Lidl have a range of sprays, Silicone oil, ptfe , and a maintenace oil spray. It's worth having one of each in the van. In your case the silicone oil sprayed around the swivel flange would free up the swivel action. Also works well on fly screen runners, and roof light opener mechanism.

take the cassette out and locate the retaining clip for the toilet bowl near the door. release that and go inside the van and seperate the bowl. clean any limescale off the joint and lubricate with silicon spray and reassemble. Takes 5 to 10 minutes at most
