On our walk about at the Malvern show we were approached by a member of a “club” on their club stand . Apparently it’s a great club because “all the best motorhome Youtubers are members “ . As you can imagine this was like a red rag to a bull with me .
I pointed out that I certainly wouldn’t want to be associated with these people and I was perfectly happy with our Motorhome fun club area in a nice spot away from all the attention seekers .

Saw it yesterday, they tried to get us to join. I pointed out what they were offering could be sought out online for free. I suspect they are preying on the elderly that don’t do much googling.

I would never promote another club here on fun but it’s a motorhome only club . Association with YouTube channels such as those mentioned isn’t a selling point in my opinion and would actually put us off joining . The thought of bumping into some of those fools on a rally , no thanks

Once I realised they had given complimentary membership to these cringeworthy Youtubers I had to walk away before I started an argument

I am specifically not promoting them and since they also have a club forum I am being very careful. The rules are very clear with regards to that

Most of the elderly motorhomers I know are very savvy, more som than the young as we don't need to be 'liked' to know we are brilliant.

Another thread of demeaning someone or something. If it doesn’t suit you that’s fine. As adults we can all make up our our minds. My mother in law once said if you have nothing positive to say, why say anything

Imagine being in charge of marketing and deciding to allow the Travel Trolls to be a brand ambassador .
Remember when they joined here and expected the red carpet to be rolled out .
“ We just joined and we are the famous Travel Trolls from YouTube “

Once the response wasn’t the same as YouTube , they quickly left and the account was deleted

I don’t have to be liked either. I’m comfortable in my own skin and not afraid to say what I think. I guess I’m like marmite
