Came back this morning Border farce only checked our passports. No mention of the Covid locator forms.

Apparently the Home Office has not issued QR readers to check the forms...

The asked us if we had filled in the forms, and we showed them the form on the iPad. Even if they don’t ask you to it is up to you to do it and be ready to be asked and checked. Same with smuggling or any other illegal thing. You make the choice, you take the risk.

How unusual for Boris's Blokes to introduce regulations that aren't capable of being enforced...

JJ
Governments have been passing laws for years that are never enforced,,,Anarchy on the roads,,BUSBY.

You mean like the law that states it's still illegal to hang washing out on a Monday. That's well policed innit

We came back last Wednesday and were asked to show our completed forms to the UK customs guy. Looks like it depends on who you get...

Just came through tunnel border control 20 mins ago, not even mentioned, mind you there is around a 45 min delay getting through border control for some reason?

Getting through border control at the tunnel usually means French have a few booths open then vehicles have to queue to only one UK booth open. When we came home a few weeks ago we didn't know about the declaration. We were given a slip of paper with an Internet address on it and we were told to fill it in before arriving in UK.

Actually they had at least 5 booths working, both French and UK. So it wasnt lack.of staff causing a delay
