No camping on the Großglockner tonight!

Pulled up to the booth earlier and the bolshy mare said in her best Austrian voice “where are you going?” I said “to the wohnmobile stellplatz on the Franz Josefs Höhe” she then waved a leaflet at me and shouted “No camping on the Alpine road” so I just came over and found a site in the grounds of an hotel in Großkirchheim!

I did mention on a thread not that long ago that I thought there was no overnighting on it ... looks like I was right unfortunately.

Yes you did Minxy Girl, they must be in the process of banning it, maybe someone got hurt, maybe someone spoilt it for the rest of us, who knows?? There’s still some snow up here but not a lot
