Hi I’ve always dreamed of the freedom of just driving off in a moho with no fixed return date and seeing how things worked out. There are so many incredible sights to see out there! My parents did it 25 years ago and had a blast, and we’ve had caravans and horse boxes so I do have a little experience. We bought an Autotrail 620 in July and it ticks every single box but so far, sadly, it’s just not floating hubby’s boat. So I’m now exploring going solo with just Jenny the Cockapoo for company

Thats a shame about hubby. My sister is the same, brought their first motorhome and hubby just isn’t interested. In fact they’ve since sold it and ended up with a caravan, go figure, but seems happier.

One of the beauties of having the van, is the freedom you speak of. Spent the last 9 days touring around Norfolk, parking in forests, Bury St Edmunds, Cromer etc and all places that you just couldn’t visit with a caravan, which has tied them to sites only and the added expense. Think in total of a 9 day trip, we paid £8 for parking, so welcome to the journey and leave ole hubby at home

What a shame that it is not floating hubby's boat, what is it that hubby doesn't like?

There are plenty of solo's on here and plenty of couples where one will travel without the other, so just do what you feel is right for you and hopefully hubby will realise what he is missing out on and join you.
