Just for information regarding cost of Motorhome insurance. I have just received my insurance quote from NFU Mutual for this coming year and it is £299 compared to £230 last year.
All things considered, this seems fairly reasonable.

My car is insured through NFU and has gone up around £100 to £440 but our Adria is insured with Saga so looking to see what they come up with. It's ridiculous, I've not claimed but both my Premium and my Excess have gone up.

My NFU quote increased quite a bit this year. But I live in the centre of Birmingham. And it was still half the price of anyone else I found.

With NFU, £715, £300 cheaper than Comfort and no alarm or tracker required van insured for 130k.

I've filled in the NFU online quote forms twice recently, both times it ended with "our local office will call you". Both times no one called.
My business went elsewhere!

As far As i can make out , its just pot luck what you get quoted. So many variables in their crystal balls. And tea leaves are very unpredictable.
Re NFU . Tried getting a quote, filled out as much information as i could. Had a call from them at a very inopportune time so arranged time to call back. Nothing .

Waste of time online or phone,, you have to go into the office to get the best quote.

NFU local offices are independent businesses and some of them are really not interested in motorhome insurance. I guess your local office is one of these. However there are branches that want motorhome business and work hard to get it. I use Brockenhurst 01590 624744 but the Chichester Branch is also known to be very good.

You just have to go into the office, plenty about, phone and online they haven't a clue who you are or anything about you apart from standard questions so they quote as much as they can.
In the office they can see if you are a boy racer or something so you can barter them a bit to get the best insurance out there.

Renewed my VW T6 insurance with NFU, increase of 47%! Doing due diligence, got quotes from other, well known camper insurers. They advised me to grab the NFU deal, as they couldn’t get close.
