Newhaven ferry port

Has anyone stayed at the Newhaven ferry port car park? Hoping if my new windscreen turns up to sail on the 10:00 ferry, check in closes at 09:15. We will be travelling from Plymouth but wont be able to leave till well after midday at the earliest.

Others have said you can stay there, Firle Beacon is a nice wild spot only a few miles from the port.
If really stuck my drive is 20 miles from the port.

Thank you very much for the offer Lenny, got a message from someone who stayed there last night having arrived on the
21:00 ferry, so that takes care of that. All I have to do now is wait for my new windscreen to arrive. (Burstner 2019 A Class)

Our Hymer one was straight forward, make sure with your one they are very careful with the side trims, seen a few reports of them breaking them.

About 10 days Autoglass got it from TW. I insisted on it being an OEM screen.

You can overnight at both Newhaven and Dieppe ports, Newhaven, you now have to park in new car park immediately on your left as you enter port entrance from main road before 10pm ferry and can stay all night and join que in morning fir 10am boat (take no notice of £5 parking fee as this Cp is fir DFDS customers only and anyone else must pay £5 to park so if getting ferry then free. You can still join que after 10pm ferry if you want and sleep overnight in que or right up to gates. Ideal for getting to ferry port at anytime day before sailing.
Sainsburys just up road for shopping and McDonald’s and KFC also short walk away
