Hello there,
I’m new to motorhoming as only just bought mine and looking for a community of peeps to share and get advice and adventure fun from and with, if that makes sense.
I also need to have heating fitted and been advised to have diesel as thats the most efficient form....Where to find a mechanic to fit one who is an expert, as i am not and mine is a convertion so unsure if its doable.
I live in the dorset area so, if anyone knows of a good, reasonably priced mechanic who knows his/her stuff, I’d be really grateful.
Geo.

Welcome Aboard Comedy Bang Bang GIF

All of mine were fitted from new but I am sure an 'expert' will be along shortly with some ideas for you. In the meantime, remembering that you only get 5 free posts before joining, you could give us more info about your conversion that might help someone to advise you how best to proceed.

MotorhomeFUN is the best accessory for any motorhome (owner).

We have an Eberspacher on the boat as do many others; being safer, and works fine. Hoping the new Van Truma Diesel heater is as good.

Propex in Ringwood supply and installation diesel heaters. Could I just throw a comment in - and I know others may disagree. We nearly bought a lovely Moho during our search except it only had a diesel heater/water heater fitted. We thought it'd be great as we mainly are off grid. But they are very noisy and if it's a warm day and you just want hot water, you'll either have the windows open or sit outside and they stink. It was actually the only reason we didn't buy the MH.
I'm not sure your neighbours on a camp site would appreciate the noise/smell. We ran it for a good half to three quarters of an hour and neither the smell nor noise lessened.
The owner of the MH had only used it 240v on site even he said he wouldn't want to use it on diesel.
But I'm sure others on here will have more positive experiences.
