Newbie tips and trick.png

We are sending a new weekly email out this week.

Each email will carry just a single tip, trick or nugget of information within. Everyone will get one at first, but these tips will be aimed at new and inexperienced motorhomers so if you are an old hand and know it all, feel free to unsubscribe from the emails, you'll be able to do that wil just two clicks and it won't affect anything else, such as the twice weekly newsletters.

Of course most of the tips will point people to information back here so it keeps people coming back to Fun for more. Look out for the first tip headed your way this week.

Cheers

Jim, 👍 idea, love this Forum constantly informing me of things I need to know, should know, don't ask, but then find out by reading threads

Great idea Jim!!!

Brilliant idea! I am learning loads from MH Fun! European touring tips would be great 😉

Jim we have 450 new vehicles sold and 100 used vans in stock. What if we sent a handover video that we do for every van we sell to Motorhome Fun? That way if a new member joins and says help I don’t have a clue, they could look up their van and work out how the frost valve works, how to empty a toilet cassette, use Alde or Truma heating etc?

Have learnt a good deal since I joined, especially about 12v and 240v systems and the use of lithium, lead acid and AGM batteries and their usage with solar panels and how they can or cannot be connected etc etc, plus numerous other tips and handy hints on general mororhome matters.
Worth every penny of the subscription, in my opinion, and I am always learning new stuff on a variety of motorhoming areas.

This would be a fantastic resource to have access to I think, I’d be keen to browse them myself 😊

such as the twice weekly newsletters.
Twice weekly emails really!
Not had one for well over a year I think they stopped after I changed my email address on the forum.

Either that or Jim has gone off me.

In 1998 when we bought a new Dufour sailboat, the Dealer paid for a first year subscription to the Dufour Owners Association. We remained paid-up Members for the next 21 years until we sold her when Covid meant travel to the Med was no longer practical. No doubt the very positive comments you get from Funsters who post on this Forum are helpful in encouraging folk wishing to buy a motorhome to enquire as to what you may have available. Perhaps you might consider SImon that it would be a good idea to give everyone buying from you a first year paid for subscription and of course a Funster Sticker to display on their windscreen. (y)

Thank you for your post. I have spoken to Jim about this and have suggested the same idea. I will always recommend this forum as yes I am obviously very invested in it.
However. If I offer a subscription discount etc to join Fun, it’s seen as bribery, coercion and Jim could get into trouble, sad but true!
