Hi all
I think my elddis 115 needs new tyres - I can’t see where you work out how old they are but it’s a 2013 model and the 2 back ones have some cracks (see photo)

can anyone recommend a mobile fitted or somewhere local to Yorkshire?

also the current tyres are vango 215/70 r15 cp tyres - are there any better ones or should I just go for the same

thanks

Yes, immediate change of those. Look on the outside of the tyre wall , in brackets there will be a 4 digit number, it gives the week and year of manufacture, must be in the only bit not covered in your photos.
As an aside. you might want to confirm the cambelt [ if it has one ] has been changed as well, if not you're pushing the envelope on it's working life as well, brake/clutch fluid ditto.

I recently changed two tyres on our van. Best price was Asda tyres online. I went for Vanco camper, same size as yours. Fully fitted including valves etc. £240 You choose your nearest fitter book and pay in advance. I allowed 4 days to make sure the tyres were at the fitters (Halfords autocentre). Be aware, the site does not know you are a motorhome and a lot of fitting stations can not accomodate. I phoned round the fitters to make sure they had facilities.

Quite a few people are fitting Hankooks or Toyos.

On the drive are very good, actually Halfords.

Also used mobile Kwik Fit and computer tyres.

All very good and easily sorted online.

This will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about tyres.

I'd use a local guy if I were you. Chainstores are nearly always more expensive.

Do you want premium or budget tyre? Should range from £60 - £100+

I got my tyres on line and then dropped two tyres and two wheels (with old tyres fitted) at local fitting place. Then repeat he doesn’t want a massive white plastic box taking up space. Works out much cheaper too.

Thanks all - 4 new tyres of the same ordered and being fitted on Friday at home...£430...not too bad I suppose...

Our motorhome came fitted with 235/65/16 Michelin Agilis Cross Climate tyres. Just checked Blackcircles, £180 each (sharp intake of breath!).

Ah, they're 115/113 so £158 each, that's alright then!

Hi

Just back from National Tyres.
I have had a set of four supplied and fitted by National. I thought 12 years was long enough for my Pirelli's, although they showed no sign of cracking or degradation.
I have had a set of Yokohama Blue Earth Van RY61 All Season fitted.
The online price included: High pressure valves, balance and disposal.
Very good service from The depot in Peterborough.
The first thing I noticed was the smoothness of the steering, a quieter ride and a smooth ride.
On the journey there, about 18 miles, my fuel consumption was 37mpg, which is about normal.
On the return journey the consumption was 42.6mpg.
I also like the block tread which should give me better grip on grass and soft ground.
Total price online was £367.80.
What's not to like?

Geoff
