Visiting 2nd home at the moment and was told about a new MH parking area, so set off and it's located south of Los Alcazares where the old bus station was on the N332 just past army base. The other end of town to the other 3 sites.2 restaurants close by Venta Puerto Tres and Venta Simon. 72hr limit stay.

Stayed in a hotel opposite the army base about twenty years ago on a 'property buying trip'. Ended up with an apartment at Gran Alacant, between Santa Pola and Alicante airport for about fifteen years.

Ahh nice spot, used to wild camp at GA before it became a nudist beach (?) 😁.

Pugsy Thats a coincidence, first time I’ve seen any mention of this site on any forum, apart from me. We used to live in LA and have stayed there many times, since leaving, from its very first week of opening. I think we are listed as customers number 21 😜. Incidentally are the showers up to scratch in winter & is the site full? Please give the ladies our regards 😊

Have a good ride to Los Nietos, our good friends live at El Carmoli close by & go there for a morning coffee regularly, I used to sail down from the boat club in LA for lunch. Happy times

We are on camping Mar Menor at the minute might have a scoot down to check it out thanks

I stopped and had a look today,no signs of life, at the moment apart from, the signage posted by TONCAZ .It just looks like an empty bus depot,so the sign may have been put up in preparation of something happening. The Fire Station is next door to it and as a retired Firefighter i took the opportunity to speak to a firefighter that with in the yard of the station. He knew nothing of it and has not seen anything going on, his only thought was it may be a future project and the signage is up as advertising.
Hopefully it will open ,the more the merrier:giggle: .

Cheers Cris.

Full to bursting today when we drove down there, mostly French and Germans occupying the spaces
Its about time those Germans and French type people return home, us Spanish residents want to start getting out and about again....haven't they got homes to go too, gardens to tidy, Grandkids to see.....(y)
