Afternoon All,

The memory foam in the mattress on the drop down bed in my Hymer could do with replacing after some 7 years of use. The cover can be zipped off and is still good so I am looking for new memory foam to put into the cover. Happy to cut it to size myself but I have not found a supplier in the internet that sell quality memory foam.. Any one out there used a company that supply memory foam that they can recommend?

M+S foam, J28 M6 they do all kinds of memory foam and will make you a new mattress using yours as a template

Have you considered buying a new Hymer mattress .. ?

I had a quote but declined as it was quite expensive

The total cost of supplying a complete mattress would be £696 inc vat. This also includes the transportation cost direct to yourself from Germany.

We bought a foam mattress from IKEA for £150 and use a thin memory foam topper on it, lighter and more comfortable than the original sprung mattress.

I bought a Panda matress topper for my Hymer fixed single bed.
We have a Tempur matress at home, but I'm finding the Panda just as comfortable.
I cut it to size with a pair of large, sharp scissors.

Custom made beds cut and shape to whatever size etc you want.

Thanks all for the info and suggestions.

At almost £700 a Hymer mattes is very expensive. The size 185x145x10 cm is slightly bigger than a standard double so foam has to be cut from a king size "blank"

After altering the wording on my Google search I did find Custom Size Beds and they can supply a 2 layer "top of the range" mattress for £490 with lesser options for £279 and £439. They were very helpful on the phone and offer a quick delivery with no delays at the moment.

Awaiting a call back from The Foam People

Unfortunatly Panda do not seem to do a custom size matteress that would fit (What does bimbo infussed mean?)

Try GB Foam, we got a new mattresses for our drop down bed from there.
They have different grades of foam and thickness to suit many applications.
Hope this helps.

Trevor
