We have just arrived at a new camper stop near Zoomarine in Portugal just off the N125. Run by a Belgium couple and in a nice rural part of the Algarve surrounded by orchards with views out to the coast.

Lots of space with large pitches and an open air bar which serves food as well.

If you are in Portugal come and give Mikki's a try and see for yourself.

37.128210, -8.322723 will get you there and it's close to the shopping at the Algarve shopping centre and the beaches at Gale and Amacao de Pera are only a short drive away.

Photos to follow.

Photos as promised.

Looks great Keith, we are being lured to head to Portugal when we set off in a few weeks time! It will only be our second venture, Spain for about 10 weeks in 2013 on the east coast. Sadly ill health prevented us going anywhere far last year. It's very tempting to head to familiar parts again, but reports of busy or even full campsites is concerning us and I'm feeling the need to visit places new and Portugal looks and sound wonderful. I guess our preference is for quieter and more secluded with some interesting history which Portugal would seem to abound in! :)

At the moment here it is very busy with all the winter campers who head for the Algarve. Give it a few weeks and they will be heading home (us included) and the place will be nice and quiet for you.

If you want to see where these Camper Stops are in Portugal try clicking on the link in my signature, it's a Google map of many Aires and other places we have been to or have been recommended by others.

Thanks Keith, we've only previously been to Spain, 1st week of March to May. It seemed to us pretty quiet except for the Easter period, even then the site at Ribemar was not full.

It just concerns us a bit when we read about places being full up! But, must be as you say, the change from the Winter folk to the Spring folk! Thanks again, we still quite fancy Portugal as there is no point in going to the same spot, even when you do like it! (y)

€7.50 inc elec, (pay for 7, & 8 day free) good WiFi, set among the Lemon & Orange groves 5 mins. from Algarve shopping cen. but in a quiet location. 37.128210, -8.322723

Not as close to the beach as Felisia, if that's your thing. The site has some work to be done but it's OK with all we need, showers & toilets are on the way.

Looks good to me, on our list for a visit in the next couple of months
