Strange there wasnt more notice saying it was happening, you can staill park down the prom, but car park opposite floral pavillion is no more.
We used to go to shows at the pavillion and stay over here alas...no more.

Looking at that 2nd article...it's probably in relations to the new watersports company that has been give licence to operate this year.

Maybe. Or possibly people ignoring the no camping rule.
That was never a rule AKAIK at fort perch...parking was always free. Now it is private enterprise I assume they'd want as much space as poss...fair enough

Not just at Fort Perch.

Email received from Wirral Council 11 October 2006 "The off-street parking places traffic regulation order states that no vehicles should be left in a parking place for the purpose of sleeping or camping."
Email received from Wirral Council 9 September 2013 "There are currently no designated areas for parking of motorhomes and sleeping/camping on car parks is not permitted.

Those two e-mails refer to 'parking places' (does that mean places defined by lines?) and 'car parks'

How about on a street with no lined spaces? Is that OK then?

Geoff

As the 2006 email says, they are about parking covered by the off-street parking places traffic regulation order.
I have list count of the number of times I have explained that there are differences between on street and off street parking orders.
I know I have linked to this article on many occasions.

Plenty people parked there tonight, I left at 10:30.

They will no doubt be amongst the first to complain when the barrier is permanently closed.

People who continue to ignore restrictions - and worse, those who brag about it online, such as the guy who put photos of himself camping in his van on a Welsh beach when Wales was in lockdown, are directly responsible for increases in fixed barriers and increased restrictions, not to mention local hostility towards all in campers/motorhomes. In some places these increased restrictions stop campers/motorhomes from parking at ANY time of day or night, and the aforementioned beach now has large boulders in place to stop people parking/camping there.
