Motorhoming since 2018.
We are off on a short trip from Calais to Bielefeld in the next few weeks and have been struggling to find out if there a tolls on motorways, but are confuse. It seems that some motorways have tolls some don't, some tunnels
have tolls, some charge tolls for vehicles over 3.5t etc etc. Is anyone able to clarify this for me please..

Thanking you in anticipation.

You should travel toll free if you cross into Belgium then across to Germany.

Thanks very much. just need to find a decent Aire midway between Calais and Bielefeld

Do that trip regularly. Nothing to pay anywhere, only things to be aware of, traffic in Antwerp is a PITA , Duisburg and Dortmund get a bit busy also.

And Fuel up In Germany on the way back at the off AutoBahn service areas, fuel in Holland is silly money.

There are no tolls on the route , thru all countries for motorhomes , or cars , only a couple of toll tunnels in Holland (not on route) https://www.tolls.eu/germany

should find a stellplatze on here https://stellplatz.info/reisemobilstellplatz
tacr2man once again many thanks. just had a quick look on the link. I'm sure we'll find somewhere safe to stop on the route.

There is a toll tunnel in Antwerp if you decide to go the long way round the ring road. If I remember correctly, electronic signs give you the times for using both routes as you approach the city. I don’t know the toll but the main southern route (Kennedy tunnel) is always free. You just have to be aware that saving a few minutes might come at a price.
