I’ve been away since early early December, been using Reglo and Digi sims my Firestick and streaming using Surfshark with no problems and now suddenly it’s won’t work because I’m using a vpn , turn vpn off still not allowing, swap to USA and some things play but not other series that I’m following eg Stranger things and mr Mercedes.
The stuff plays ok on iPad with Surfshark on.
Any suggestions

We've had problems using vpns before, I think bbc etc can detect vpns and block. We now just use uk sims and have no problems.

Cheers , have a setting to change for iplayer

All you can do is keep changing location on the vpn until you find one that works, until they manage to block it.

Make sure you change the time on the device you are watching on is set to UK time.

I used Nord, everything was ok apart from the BBC, iPlayer worked but it wouldn't work for live streaming. It kept detecting the VPN so I changed the server and it was fine. Netflix did detect we were traveling but still let me stream most things

We have struggled before.
This time no VPN netflix prime no problem.

It's just what Surfshark told me to do when I had trouble connecting to BBC iplayer and 4. Connections have been spot on ever since.

I checked and my Firestick was still on UK time.
Now when I want to watch Netflix’s I’ve found if I force stop and clear cache using the Background app.
Then I can watch Netflix’s, Stranger things and Mr Mercedes with no issues as long as I don’t turn vpn on, weirdly some programs will work with the vpn on
