MH
Looking for one now
We have just been away on our first trip in our 1999 N&B Flair Life, which was terrific but did throw up a few questions like "What the heck are each on the switches on the control panel for?" When we bought the MH the previous owner just said "have them all on", but I'd like to actually understand what they are each for and particularly the one numbered 3 and circled in the pic below. I can't refer to the manuals because they're all in German!

So numbered left to right 1 through 5 I believe, but please correct me, are...
1 = Spare i.e. it does nothing
2 = The motor to circulate the central heating water when driving and using the engine heat exchanger
3 = No idea at all !!!!
4 = The pump for the fresh water tank
5 = Just the on/off switch for the 12v system

3 is probably the heating element fot the gas reg for skiing weather.

google translate - literal translation from the Italian CBE manual

”triomatic resistance control switch in winter position
red indicates that the gas is on reserve
yellow indicates the insertion of the winter function”

I would have said the same for No 3 Jon, for the Truma Duomatic regulators/valves.

I understood No 2 to be used to circulate the central heating water to the engine, ie, only as a preheater, but must be switched off before driving, otherwise you'll have two pumps working against each other, ie, that one, and the Alde pump, (see below).

To make use of the engine heat exchanger, it's isolation valve must be open, and the Alde heating pump switched on to circulate the water around the radiators whilst driving. That's certainly how things work on the Compact 3000 model.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Spot on I reckon Ken, and I will add that you can set which bottle you wan to be the reserve by turning a knob on the duo regulator changeover thingy.

OK, I think I get it, and I'll translate the manual too. Many thanks :)
