On our Arto one of the lights over the kitchen has had progressively failing problem of the switch, which now has no positive action and which is 'floppy' and does not turn on the light.

My question is how to extract the whole unit? There are no screws on the plate. Does it 'spring' out on clips? - I am relucant to prise too hard unless I know this is the correct method.

Does one have to empty the cupboard above and remove the 'floor' of that cupboard to gain access?

I have solved the removal problem for the light.

The original retention design was as I surmised by spring clips.

However, somebody had added screws laterally( different lengths) thus my difficulty in prising the unit out.

Now I can tackle the switch problem.

Let me know the solution as my kitchen light is iffy too .
