Traded in our 2019 Bailey Advance 70-6 on Fri 25th June which I bought new in Aug 2019 for 45k

2 days later the dealers are marketing it on their website for 50k

Marked as sold 2 days later. Quite astonishing

I suspect if you had sold it yourself you could have had the same result.

I was determined that I would only buy a new one that was on the actual forecourt and ready to be bought. Don't think I could buy one with the expectation of waiting many months to have it delivered. Have read too many recent threads on here about ever changing delivery times. I was ready to take a bit of a hit for trading it in but it surprised me by the speed and price of it moving on to its new owner

Did you pay over the odds for the van you bought?

We've just had our insurance quote in for our van we bought new 3 years ago. They've now valued our van at £2.5k more than we paid 3 years ago and the insurance went down by £15

I think that's the thing. It's like house prices once you have one it's the cost to change that matters and as they all tend to go up or down at a similar rate the cost to change alters a lot less. I bet there are no real discounts on new ones at the moment.
