Bought a used motorhome from Midlands caravans 16th August. Habitation check full mot. 6 months warranty. First time away 12v lights not working, took it back, they said it was just a fuse and put a new one in. Away last weekend, 12v lights working 2 nights, then not working again. Phoned company they said sounds a bit more serious, bring it in in 4 weeks time, be prepared to leave it a couple of days. Can we demand a refund??

If the other 12v powered items are still working it sounds as if one of the light fittings, switches or the lighting wiring is shorting out.
I appreciate that the fault, the delay in getting it to be seen by the dealer and its loss for two days is annoying on a newly purchased vehicle. However, if that's the only fault and from what info you've given it should be a simple job to fix and as a layman I'd say it wasn't reasonable justification for rejection as these things happen.
In the meantime I'd replace the fuse and carry a couple of spares whilst tracing the likely fault with a multi-meter.
You could start by having all 12v items switched off then switching on one light at a time and see if any one of them blows the fuse.

Is anything else working on 12v? maybe your battery is flat. Perhaps run your engine and see if your 12v lights come back on.

There aren’t that many components in a 12v system. I’d be tempted to do as Spriddler says.

How motorhome electrics work is, almost everything works from a 12V 'leisure battery'. This is separate from the vehicle starter battery. Things like the lights, water pump, heating controls and fridge controls all work from the leisure battery. The idea is that when parked in the middle of a field, with no mains electricity, everything will work fine just from the battery. The water heater, room heater and fridge usually have 12V controls that switch on gas heaters fed from a gas cylinder.

When the engine is running, the engine alternator charges the leisure battery as well as the starter battery, so you usually arrive at a camp site with the batteries all full up, ready for keeping you powered during your camping stop.

If you are lucky enough to have mains power hookup, that powers a charger that keeps the 12V battery topped up. The mains power often doesn't power anything else. Sometimes the water heater, room heater and fridge have an option to be powered from the mains hookup as an extra choice as an alternative to gas.

If your 12V battery can't keep your motorhome powered and working at least overnight, then there's something wrong.
