Recently there has been a spate of airbag fault normaly put down to low battery voltage or poor earth.
with Multiecuscan and Alfaobd errors can be read and cleared. now one of the errors U1700-86 is implausible data received from BCM. this had me thinking could a copy of the ecu data be stored and rewriten back using either software, as in copying the Proxi data as explained by Deneb . This obviously requires an in depth knowledge of the software. Or is there other readibly available software.
Are there other useful things we could be doing with this software to relieve possible agro in the future.
 
I would think there would be a good chance of 'bricking' it 😮
 
No, you generally need specialist equipment and the knowledge to use it. MES and dealer diagnostic kit aren't intended for that type of work. Even though MES allows you to copy or re-write the proxi-config file that's a totally different scenario to cloning and reflashing the entire BCM to a different unit so that it appears to be exactly identical to the original for example.
