Could this be true. Only drive within 20 miles of home and not allowed to drive at night. Must have tracker fitted to car.

Already been posted. Only applies to those with a medical condition, I think.

Fake news.
Saw something about it in a clip from the Daily Mirror. Went on and on about what if's etc. etc.
There was a one line response at the very end quoting a spokesman from the DVLA - "We have no plans to introduce restrictions due to age.......................etc"

It might be one of those policy ideas that gets put out into the public domain from time to time, to see if there is an unfavourable public reaction. I think we will see this one again. Partly because older drivers are too reluctant to self-report medical conditions that would result in their licences being withdrawn.

The one that keeps being resurrected ad nauseam is road pricing instead of VED. I think that one is inevitable when HMRC can no longer cope with the loss of tax revenue on fossil fuels as more and more EVs are sold. It would be relatively simple to have telematics in every vehicle to monitor actual mileage. The technology is already widely used by company fleet managers.

My car has a manufacturer fitted roaming sim and I'm sure could track me if necessary.
My motorhome list 2007 so old tech.

Wishful thinking on some peoples part.
