As of today, 23/8/22 minus a few weeks! ( deposit paid, awaiting collection)
Good Afternoon

As we are still waiting to collect our motorhome, pending MOT, service, hab service, valet etc. my life is spent reading this forum and dreaming of what’s to come. It is comforting to see such helpful responses to folks with problems.
This morning after getting breakfast sorted and returning to bed with bacon sandwiches and coffee I was wondering….
How is breakfast taken by the Motorhome Fun community?
Please share your motorhoming breakfast routines! Do you do things differently to when at home? Inside or outside? Earlier or later? Fry up or healthy options?
I need to know how to do breakfast properly if we are going to fit in with all you experienced travellers!

Fresh coffee...always! Cafetiere. Outside if the weather is fine and sat under canopy if raining!
Little boxes of Kellogg's cereal always in reserve for our 11 year old.
Cadac for sausage and egg...😍
 
As you like it mate. We are all individuals and separately weird so just embrace it 😂

Mind you breakfast in the motorhome is always later for us. Around 10 ish
In the U.K. a bacon and sausage butty

In France it has to be croissant with a cafeteria of wonderful aroma

Just a few brews. When I was working I got up early and did not see the point of losing time in the pit to have something to eat. When getting to the site the old and much maligned greasy spoon some custom. At them we had the full month with plenty of fried bread.

In the van a brew, usually coffee.
 
Fruit juice, (usually but not exclusively) orange, cereal and fresh cafetière coffee.

Same as at home, not too inventive.

I am always up first so mug of coffee and catch up on Fun and a couple of other forums, 8am Mrs Funflair gets a drink in bed and eventually gets up, breakfast is usually cereal, fruit and yoghurt, hopefully healthy, outside if it's warm enough otherwise in, sometimes on a Sunday if we are with friends we will have scrambled egg smoked salmon buck's fizz and then not much happens for the rest of the day if there is enough fizz.
 
Usually coffee either from a dolce gusto machine or a moka pot if not on hook up, followed by Granola, the one with plain chocolate and strawberries in it, with goats milk or, occasionally a fry up, egg, bacon, sausage, beans and toast. Occasionally = twice a month maybe.

Never mind all this poncey cafetiere and Dolce Gusto nonsense; basic speech doesn't return at home or away until about 10 after I've had my first half pint mug of builder's brew with four sugars and a fag.
The Yorkshire extra strong tea bags brewed in a well encrusted tin tea pot for the first pressing then add another teabag, top up with water and reheat on the gas hob for the second brew.

(Fruit, nuts and yoghurt ..........................? for godness sake, what is the world coming to?)
 
Mix of many things sometimes just fruit, sometimes egg, bacon, sausage sandwich or combination of any of the three, eggs on toast, gypsy eggs, FE, sometimes just toast/crumpets but don’t really do coffee for breakfast has to be two possibly three cups of tea, then have a nice strong coffee around 11ish

Usually fruit,museli, yoghurt and honey. Sometimes on our last morning, if we’re still cooking outside, a full Eng!!

A builders brew. There was a Midsomer Murders on the other day with Mark Williams playing a Yorshire VW Camper owner. His missus gave him a pint m7g and he tasted it. He said "excellent brew Martha. You could trot a mouse on that".
 
Always porridge with a portion of blueberries , raspberries and occasionally strawberries don't like breakfast cereals that much
And Douwe Egberts coffee without sugar 2 large mugs
 
Are we chatting about first or second breakfast?
first is tea and cereal.
the second around 10 ish is toast/ pancakes/ scone/ bacon butty etc and coffee.
 
Or if in northern Spain, coffee and what ever they give you.

No toast or cereals (empty calories - carbs)
Always tea strong no sugar, three mugs, coffee has to wait for 11ish.
 
Wherever we moored up in Europe bacon aroma wafting out was always favourably commented on. I rememeber some dutch rowers early morning rowing past us on the Willameana kanal shouting 'good morning tea and toast' as if we are identified by our breakfast!

OJ followed by Coffee (bean to cup if on EHU, otherwise Aeropress) and, when in France, fresh baguette with butter and Bon Maman Strawberry jam.

Occasionally, bacon and egg or Scrambled egg and beans with brown toast.

In the absence of any of the above, cereal.

I was told the origin of le petit dejeuner was down to Louis XIV who was a notorious late riser. As the court could not eat le dejeuner (Day meal) until the king did they sustained themselves with a bit of bread etc. This was no doubt spread by Napoleon, thus condemning much of the continent to a really crap breakfast, all because one bloke couldn't shift his lazy arse out of bed.

What ever works for you the right way. We are all individuals and somewhat unique in personality and our ways.
Just enjoy what makes you happy and content.

Espresso Coffee,one Weetabix,one Shredded Wheat,milk,topped with Bio Yogourt. Everyday of the year. Boring but reasonably healthy.
 
Poched boiled scrambled tost soldier's or cereal tea or fresh coffee.
Cereal none of that fresh yogert much.
Each to ther own do it as you want.

Porridge, ginger and yoghurt for me, porridge and honey for himself, dog kibble then porridge and yoghurt for Jacques. We get up later than at home, 07.00 instead of 06.00. Proper Yorkshire tea as well.
